A thriving Nairobi metropolis where all young people are empowered, healthy, and free from the "triple threat" of SRHR issues, HIV/AIDS, and Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

Mission

Ruka Network will be a leading youth development organization in Nairobi, providing innovative and accessible programs that promote positive youth development, comprehensive sexuality education (CSHE), and community dialogue.

Strategic Goals:

Expand Reach: Increase our program footprint across Nairobi's diverse communities, reaching a target of X young people by 2027 (set a specific, measurable target).

Deepen Impact: Enhance the effectiveness of our programs through evidence-based practices, monitoring and evaluation, and continuous improvement.

Strengthen Advocacy: Advocate for policies and initiatives that support youth development, SRHR, and GBV prevention at the local and national levels.

Foster Sustainability: Diversify funding sources, build strong partnerships, and develop capacity to ensure the long-term sustainability of Ruka Network.

Key Strategies:

Scale up MentorPlus: Expand the Adolescent Mentorship Program (MentorPlus) to reach new schools and vulnerable communities.
Enhance CSHE Delivery: Develop innovative and age-appropriate CSHE workshops and resources tailored to different youth groups.
Leverage Technology: Utilize online platforms and mobile technology to increase program accessibility and reach geographically dispersed communities.
Mobilize Youth Leadership: Empower young people to become advocates for their own well-being and champions of positive change within their communities.
Build Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and the private sector to leverage resources and expertise.
Invest in Capacity Building: Train and equip Ruka Network staff with the necessary skills to deliver high-quality programs and manage the organization effectively.

Ruka Network is committed to monitoring and evaluating the progress of our strategic plan. We will track key metrics such as:

Number of youths reached through programs.
Knowledge gained by youth on SRHR issues.
Changes in attitudes and behaviors related to GBV prevention.
Improved school completion rates

Sustainability:

To ensure long-term sustainability, Ruka Network will diversify its funding portfolio by seeking grants, corporate partnerships, and individual donations. We will also explore social enterprise models to generate additional income.
